Cycling is a brilliant place and space for thinking and there is no better time than the start of a New Year. Philosophy and escapism all while getting fit and exploring your environment. What a perfect mix, riding to create time and space!

Surely cycling is the answer to many modern problems…there has never been a better or more necessary time for a cycling revolution.

If cycling and cycle coaching has taught me anything at this time of reflection…it’s a measure of perspective!

Example…teaching a 10 year old boy how to cycle safely on the road…negotiating hazards! A ten year old who has been though life experiences that no one should have to.

The pure joy and simplicity of cycling helps to remove all the terrible things that have happened to him…if only for a short time!

Taking both he and I back to a simpler time of youth…for the lucky, when riding bikes was fun, escapism, transport, freedom and adventure!

Wait…cycling offers the same now as it did then and it always has!

This is perspective.
