To continually improve the services they offer, Bicycles By Design have purchased a cutting edge / Contemporary electronic bike stand with an investment of £4000. The Park Tools RS 33 bike work station provided by Park Tools, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of bicycle tools is capable of bearing a 120kg load and with the dual electronic arms, it enables the mechanics to work on two bikes simultaneously. The electronically adjusted stand allows the mechanic to effortlessly position the bike, making it easy to work on different aspects of the frame, wheels and componentry. The revamped work shop is now 25m2 and features every necessary tool for all models of mechanical and electric bicycles.

Very few bike shops have this “dual arm facility”, we are the only one in Shropshire.

Bicycles By Design have been in the Ironbridge Gorge since 2006 and in fact a bike shop has existed in the Gorge since the 1800’s, with E B Browns Cycle Works of Dale End, Ironbridge. Bicycles By Design are continuing this heritage of bicycle manufacture, sales and servicing in the area and are pushing it forward into the new millennium as one of Shropshires leading E-bike specialists. (attached image).

E-bikes or power assisted bikes have become increasingly popular over the last 6 years, for health, green, leisure and transport issues. The E-bike market has significantly grown in the county, it is now seen as a viable choice for commuting, travel/ transport and leisure. In fact, many local businesses are now using E-bikes to make local deliveries!
